I've
taken herbs and vitamins for a long time, why should I
switch over to Bee Products ?
Standard herbs and vitamins still occupy
the lions share of the natural supplements market. This will be the case
for the foreseeable future, as many large corporations have emerged,
their foundations built around common herbs and vitamin supplements.
However, quite recently a credible
challenge has emerged to the 'standard' supplement market. 'Bee
products', surprisingly enough have been around for millions of years
(some say as long as 80 million!) and have been used for many centuries to combat health problems and
provide tonics for energy, stamina and longevity. Could
it be that Mother Nature created a very visible 'model for health', gave
it wings, gave it a gentle sting to draw attention to itself, and set it
upon us to deliver it's message? Could it be that 80 million years
later, we are only just starting to hear the message clearly?
So why do these products remain
over-shadowed by more common 'plant' herbs and vitamins? The answer
might be quite simple; they are difficult to produce for a
'mass-market'. Consider the complexities and logistical problems of
operating an apiary:- the actual bee keeping and collecting process, the
controls and regulations
that ensure the end product is pure and free from contaminants, the manufacturing process of capturing and encapsulating all of the
nutritional benefits intact. These are time consuming and complex tasks that ultimately
limit production. However this is changing, and slowly the
output will be increased in line with the increase in demand.
So just how do Bee products compare
with standard herbs and vitamins? - Bee products provide us with a tremendous source of
nutrition - the human body requires 22 basic elements including
vitamins, amino acids, hormones and enzymes - Bee Pollen contains
them all. Royal Jelly is remarkably rich in B Vitamins, contains
17 amino acids, and is often termed the 'miraculous rejuvenator'. Propolis contains 500 times more bioflavonoids than is found in oranges, and
except for vitamin K contains all known vitamins. Honey contains
important proteins, carbohydrates, hormones, organic acids - a
powerhouse of essential vitamins and minerals.
There are many associated health
benefits, so it is little surprise that people are switching over to bee
products from common herbs...
More energy - more stamina - reduced
feeling of stress - weight control - reduced anxiety - improved immune
system and protection against viral infection - respiratory benefits -
benefits to bones/joints, hair, skin nails......and much more.
So what should you look for when
buying Bee products? - there are many factors involved including....
Price - Price should not
compromise quality. Look for a manufacturer that does not spend
large amounts of money on fancy packaging and high priced television ads
- you pay for all of that! However, don't overlook the fact that many of
the websites that are clearly not very professional in their delivery,
may not have the systems in place to produce a high quality
product.
What is right for me? - People new
to Bee products ask us which of the four products they should take - royal jelly, pollen,
propolis or honey? - It's the same answer for everyone - take all
four products for the most complete range of nutritional benefit. (No we
are not saying you should buy four bottles instead of one....'Total Bee
Plus' contains all four bee products in an effective ratio, in one low
cost capsule).
I've seen Bee Pollen on the Internet
quite cheap, why? - Beware of imported bee pollens that are
unregulated and may contain contaminants. Some parts of Asia,
particularly China, are renowned for exporting Pollen from non-regulated
facilities, some of which are known to paint their beehives with lead
based paints, which can propagate through to the product. Always look
for domestic pollen that has been collected from different states in the
USA, and from licensed and regulated bee keepers. (as ours is).
How is the product best manufactured,
what is 'freeze-dried'? - Royal Jelly should be processed by removing the water
content and leaving behind only the pure, nutritionally intact powder.
This process is called 'lyophilizing' or 'freeze-drying' and is the only
suitable way to process liquid royal jelly in our opinion. Some
companies leave the water in the royal jelly, however it must then be
treated with preservative to prevent it from going bad. Also, the water
content is as high as 67%, encapsulated liquid royal jelly offers only
around 150mg per capsule - way below an effective dosage. Removing the water
via the 'freeze-drying' process does not remove any of the nutrients from
the royal jelly.
Notes about us - We manufacture our products in comparatively
small batches, we do not manufacture bee products that sit on
a warehouse shelf for 12 months. We
consider ourselves fortunate in having one of the countries only FDA
regulated and licensed manufacturing facility, with 'state of the art'
technology working to ensure that only the purest product, free from contaminants,
is supplied to you our customer. All our raw, unprocessed product is screened
for contaminants and rejected outright should there be anything present other
than pure product.
